The Parthenon was a temple built on the Acropolis of Athens between 447 and 432 BC. Pericles, a statesman, wanted this building to be the symbol of the power of the City. The Parthenon differs in many ways from the classical Greek temple, and these differences made it one of the most admired works of architecture in the world. Inside stands a colossal statue of Athena made of wood, gold and ivory. Our Parthenon is hand-blown and hand-painted in Poland.
