This 2006 Santa embodies the image of a true old-fashioned Saint Nicholas, wearing a serious expression, long robes, and carrying a small tree and bag of toys. Raised high in his other hand is a lantern, inscribed with the year of issue, 2006. Sculpted of ivory fine china, the Santa ornament is glazed a glossy ivory all over, and is trimmed with gleaming 24-carat gold. Gold dust adds sparkle to the figure’s cuffs and hat brim, and his robe edge and lantern show delicate pierced openwork. Measuring 3-3/4 inches in height, the 2006 Santa can stand alone on a mantel or coffee table, or dangle from a Christmas tree by means of the attached gold tassel cord.
