The American Bald eagle is found in North America. The term “bald” does actually not mean that the bird is bald: the term actually is derived from an older meaning of “white headed”. The bald Eagle is both the National Bird and National Animal of the United States. Once on the endangered species list, he has been removed from both that list and the threated species list in the lower 48 states since June 28, 2007.
