I actually saw this Garden Pavilion, not in Japan, but in a garden in Austria. But its inspiration is of an Asian design built long ago. Lacquered columns, lattice work and sculpted trees surround a sitting temple offering peace and respite from the work day. This ornament is decorated mostly in shiny acrylics, to lend a feeling of porcelain to the ornament. Hand-blown and hand-painted in Poland.
