These handmade wooden toys illustrate the fairytale of the Speckled Hen. It’s very magical working with fairy-tale characters. I always keep in mind all the details of the fairytale while painting.
Let me briefly tell you what this tale is about. Once upon a time there was a Grandfather, a Grandmother and a Speckled Hen. One day the Speckled Hen laid an egg. Granny and Grandpa tried to crack it, but failed. They put the egg on a shelf.
One day a mouse was running along the shelf. She hooked the egg with her tail and it fell and broke. The grandparents began to cry but the Hen told them not to cry and promised to lay a new and better golden egg. This Speckled Hen Russian wooden doll 7 pcs set is an adorable toy or gift.
