Carolers singing at the door, a boy bringing home the Christmas tree, children skating on a frozen lake—these are images which evoke warm memories of a simpler time. Working in the traditional folk art medium of scherenschnitte, “scissor cutting,” Pamela Dalton painstakingly cuts paper into scenes celebrating the holiday. Ten of the ornaments apply a high-tech laser-cutting process to precisely translate the meticulous detail and delicate filigree of her works; each is then set in its own gilded frame. All 20 are easy to punch out and take only moments to assemble with the decorative string supplied, creating festive ornaments to adorn a tree or window, or to brighten a greeting or gift.
